Why AITIS is doing this?

Current GM methods are invasive

  • Current GM methods are invasive:
    – Venous BM (finger prick)
    – Continuous Subcutaneous GM
  • Painful, uncomfortable, tedious.
  • May prevent glucose monitoring!
  • May prevent development of foot ulcers.
  • Over half of the current BGMs do not meet the ISO 2013 guidelines on blood glucose meter accuracy bounds.

Major Complications Impact

  • Having high blood glucose (or sugar) levels can lead to serious health complications, no matter whether you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
  • Experts suggest that around 10 per cent of people with diabetes develop a foot ulcer at some stage.

Safety with Sensor AI and Network Environments for the Construction Industry

AITIS has been awarded a construction safety grant under Singapore Enterprise. Its partners, Iknaia Ltd and CITY University London, have been awarded a construction safety grant under Innovate UK. Jointly it will address the following:

  • Slips, Trips, and Falls from height due to missing barriers or not fastening body harnesses.
  • Construction accidents due to being struck by moving vehicles or contact by moving machinery.
  • Construction accidents due to workers not wearing the correct Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
